Super Tuesday Live Blogging: Obama, Shut Up

(Yes, I said it. This speech is a bit boring. Not his best, and certainly too long for the setting. On the other hand, he's keeping the words short- bet he memorized this?)

CALLS CORRECT FOR OVERSTREET: Dem - 13/16, GOP - 11/14

FEB. 3. Democrat POLL-PROJECTED DELEGATE COUNT: Clinton 852, Obama 838.

ESTIMATED DEMOCRATIC DELEGATES SO FAR: Obama 628, Clinton 569.

SWING FROM FEB. 3 POLL-PROJECTED DELEGATE COUNT: 41 to Obama.

ESTIMATED PLEDGED DELEGATE TOTAL THUS FAR: Obama 691, Clinton 617.

11:04: Speech over. What gets me is that Obama didn't really declare victory tonight- but more like victory over the horizon.

Montana: Romney.

CALLS CORRECT FOR OVERSTREET: Dem - 13/16, GOP - 11/15

Missouri: Obama has a very tiny LEAD at the moment, with 97% of the vote in.

11:12 PM: Clinton wins California. DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT. But I called it.

11:14 PM: McCain wins California.

CALLS CORRECT FOR OVERSTREET: Dem - 14/17, GOP - 12/16

Let's go back to the exit poll, since only about 15% of the vote is in: 50.7% Clinton, 44.4% Obama. Rough calculation: Clinton 197, Obama 173. Swing from prior estimate: 21 to Clinton. Zogby was wrong, at least on the total vote. I'll find out tomorrow how the vote split between early votes and votes today.

11:18 PM: Away from keyboard for a while to hunt cats. The cats aren't supposed to be in this part of the house due to all the breakables, but sometimes they managed to open the door between dining room and living room. Two accounted for, one missing...

... and a good place to clear the boards, anyway.
