Clinton: "How Dare You Go Negative, Obama You Horrible Man?"

(This is a bit behind; wrote it yesterday, but it took a full day until I could log in here, for some reason.)

MSNBC reports that Obama campaign foreign affairs advisor Samantha Power has resigned her position, after The Scotsman printed an interview in which she referred to Hillary Clinton as a monster who will say and do anything to get elected.

The exact quote, according to MSNBC:

"In Ohio, they are obsessed and Hillary is going to town on it, because she knows Ohio's the only place they can win," Power is quoted as saying. "She is a monster, too — that is off the record — she is stooping to anything."

According to MSNBC, the Clinton campaign demanded Power be fired from the Obama campaign as "a test of his character."

And here's something that, so far as I can tell, was reported only on the TV coverage...

...when asked about Clinton staffer Howard Wolfson's claim that Obama was acting like Whitewater independent counsel Ken Starr in calling for the Clintons to make their tax returns public, the Clinton campaign said that, unlike the 'monster' comment, their comparison to Ken Starr "was not a personal attack."

Riiiiiiiight.

Samantha, you had it right the first time.
