Just announced on MSNBC- Fred Thompson's out of the 2008 race.
That leaves five candidates on each side, with only two on each side viable at this point.
Look for Thompson to endorse McCain, but about half of his actual support to go to Huckabee at least in the short term. Considering that Huckabee has stopped paying travel expenses for his press corps and has cut spending to the bone, that support may not be there for long and may flee after Florida if he doesn't place at least second. (And he really needs first- Florida is a winner-take-all-delegates state.)
